I started in the industrial safety industry in 1984 in Billings, and I cut my teeth working for a small, family-owned company that revolved around customer service. As time went on, the company I worked for was bought out several times, and I ended up working for a large conglomerate that was just not working out for me. So I decided to take a step back, and in 2007, my wife and I acquired Underwood Supply, a small industrial distribution company located in Casper, Wyoming.
With the goal of providing excellent customer service to industries in the Rocky Mountain region, we changed the name to RMI (Rocky Mountain Industrial Supply) and opened a second location in Rock Springs in 2008. Drawing upon our years of experience in this industry, we have worked hard to build lasting relationships with leading industrial safety and supply manufacturers. Our sales and service team bring their wealth of knowledge and experience to the table as well, and we are all passionate about providing the highest level of service we can. We like to “think outside the box” when it comes to our customers – whatever the situation, our clients know they can depend on us to investigate their problems and come up with a solution that works.
I’m proud of RMI’s Wyoming roots, and I encourage our customers to think of us as a free resource and call us with any questions or needs. If I don’t have the answer, I guarantee my team and I will find it!
